趴刻“PARK”展览

广州华艺廊，联合都柏林科林画廊(Kerlin Gallery)荣幸呈献趴刻“PARK”展览，将展出八位当代艺术家的作品，分别于广州(2017年3月16日至4月16日)及香港(2017年3月19日至3月25日)举行。

在人类历史上，艺术家们的存在不可或缺，他们对这个世界的未知神秘极具敏感，他们所感知的世界极为个人化。当语言因为藩篱离现实尚远时，他们已能用各自的艺术形式来传递其殊出的感受。现代主义之后的我们对这个世界的认知不再停滞在“看起来像”的那个维度里，艺术家们通过他们所感受的物与自身的联系，实现其创作，阐述其与这个世界的距列。主体与客体、心理活动与智力、社会现实与个人情感等诸多因素被归纳并通过作品呈现。

展览项目“趴刻”由八个艺术家组成，除了梅林•杰姆斯(MerlinJames)在其意象的诗人般的世界里一直惬意地玩着视觉这个“漫长的游戏”。大类上我们可以认同伊萨贝拉•诺兰(IsabellaNolan), 里亚姆•杰里柯(Liam Gillick), 周力等在公共艺术和大型装置上已颇有建树且口碑甚佳; 在抽象语言的范畴里肖恩•斯库利(Sean Scully)、卡拉莫•伊内斯(Callum Innes)、周力、丽莲•托马斯寇(Lillian Tomasko)、刘可等，一方面在相关艺术史叙述里已有稳据磐石者，或正明确自身所处位置;  另一方面他们的语言又兀自独立各有所述极具个体魅力。这也正是这个展览值得期待与让人兴奋之处。“趴刻”缘起科林画廊艺术总监达沃•霍根(Darragh Hogan)和华艺廊艺术总监王野夫在广州的一次深度交流，在“趴刻”里，如达沃所述，期待这几个个性强烈鲜明的艺术家的齐聚实现一种新的力量与生长！

Holly’s Gallery(Guangzhou) and Kerlin Gallery (Dublin) are pleased to present PARK, a collaboratedcontemporary art exhibition featuring works of eight artists. PARK will be onview from 16 March 2017 – 31 April 2017 in Guangzhou and 19 March 2017 – 25March 2017 in Hong Kong.

In the history of mankind, the existence of artists is indispensable, for they are sensitivetoward the unknown mysterious world, which they perceive with their distinctiveperception. When the barriers of language keep us far from the reality, theyhave already conveyed their insightful observation with their specific artforms. After modernism our cognition of the world no longer stays at thedimension of “looks like”, through the objective atmosphere and its connectionsartists practice their art to expound their relationship of this world: subjectand object, mental activity and intelligence, social reality and individualemotions and so on, many factors are summarized and presented through their artworks.

The exhibition"PARK" is composed by eight artists, in addition to Merlin James whois having fun to play the “Long game” in his poetry and imagery visualworld,  to a certain extent, almost wecan agree that Isabel Nolan, Liam Gillick and Zhou Li have been established inthe field of public art with their large installations and they have earnedtheir good reputation in this field. In the category of abstract language, SeanScully, Callum Innes, Zhou Li, Lillianne Tomasko, Liu Ke, etc., on one hand,some have already been in the map of modern art history, and some have knownthe positions where they are; on the other hand each of them has their peculiarlanguage and their unique charm. This is exactly what the exhibition is worthto expect to. "PARK" origins from a deep talk of Darragh Hogan (artdirector of Kerlin gallery ) and Yefu Wang (artdirector of Holly’s gallery) inGuangzhou in the year of 2016. In "PARK", as Darragh Hogan hasstressed, to expect the growth of a fresh force from these distinctive artistswho are of strong personalities would be exciting...
